Basics of CDPAP
CDPAP (The Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program) is a New York State Medicaid program that lets seniors hire their own personal aidesto assist them.
A key feature of the program is that it allows for family members and friends to be hired as a personal aide. More boring facts on CDPAP
Seniors who have a stable condition, require help with activities of daily living (ADLs) or skilled nursing services, and are covered under NYS Medicaid. We offer enrollment assistance to those who are eligible for NYS Medicaid services.
An in-home assesment, which we arrange, is also required to begin CDPAP services.
As long as you’re at least 18 years old and not the the spouse, parent, or designated representative of the person receiving care, you’ll be considered eligible.
